Emily Sarasa
Board Member
Emily grew up in Florida attending science camps, studying critters, and trapping invasive Cuban anoles. After earning her B.S. in Business Administration, she served as a Legal Fellow with Repair the World Brooklyn. She also worked as an environmental paralegal in the multi-district settlement against Monsanto. She graduated from the University of Hawai‘i with her Juris Doctor in 2024 and certificates in Environmental and International Law. Now, as a Policy Field Fellow at the ACLU of Hawai‘i, Emily advocates for policy legislative reforms that protect civil rights and liberties. Emily believes that conservation, human rights, and general environmental issues in Hawai‘i are all connected, and she hopes her intersectional understanding of these issues and her skillset can help CCH reach its litigation and legislative goals.
