On Saturday, September 28th, we celebrated our 74th anniversary with our annual Awards & Membership Meeting at the Patagonia Honolulu store. Mahalo to all of our members and guests that continue to support us and make these events so special. Guests enjoyed the music of Hanalē Bishop, while eating a delicious catered dinner by Ed Kenney’s TOWN Food & Events, and browsing through unique items in our silent auction and country store. CCH’s President of the Board, Colleen Heyer, updated the members on all of the successes and hard work that CCH has accomplished over the past year. We also honored Christy Martin with the Koa Award for Excellence in Conservation and the crowd was captivated by her talk about current invasive species issues in our state. We were excited to unveil a new Patrick Ching painting, focusing on endemic understory creatures, such as the Koa bug, which will be used to develop a CCH poster in 2025.
For those that were unable to attend, or missed out on getting something in the auction or country store, we have some items available via our new Holiday Store. Please reach out to us if you are interested in any items. Next year, we hope to see everyone again as we will celebrate big for our 75th anniversary. Stay tuned for details about that.
